Castel del Monte is a building of the XIII century built by the emperor Federico II in Puglia, in the actual homonym fraction of the commune of Andria, next to Saint Maria of the Mountain.
It is situated on a hill of the chain of the western Murges, to 540 meters s.l.m. The urban centers more neighbors are Andria (18 kms), Ruvo of Puglia and Corato (21 kms).
You/he/she has been inserted in the list of the Italian national monuments in 1936 and in that of the patrimonies of the humanity of the UNESCO in 1996.
